It all started last weekend when Justin Beiber posted series of photos of him with his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, 17, daughter of Lionel Richie and his fans didn’t spare throwing some hate shade at them. Then he went ahead to post another photo captioning and i quote:
“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
But that didn’t stop anything as his fans kept throwing shades at them, instead Selena Gomez stepped in and commented on the photo:
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there for you before anyone.”
Which Justin Beiber responded to immediately and Selena Gomez definitely didn’t keep shut as she wanted to have the last laugh but Justin Beiber had another one for her
Bieber responded with: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.
“I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers.”
She wrote: “‘Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love.”
While the commentary seemed to have subsided, Gomez reignited the conversation by backtracking on the entire ordeal. “What I said was selfish and pointless.”The digital sparring continued as Bieber responded with the name of a fellow pop star. “I cheated…Oh and I forgot about you and Zayn [Malik]?” he allegedly commented, according to screen grabs that have since gone viral. While the commentary seemed to have subsided, Gomez reignited the conversation by backtracking on the entire ordeal. “What I said was selfish and pointless.”
But it was already too late as the Canadian Sorry Singer who is the 6th most followed person on Instagram with 77.9 million followers first turned his account to private, limiting access to his photos to those he manually approved, before deleting his account and entirety leaving visitors to his account page greeted simply with a “Sorry, this page isn’t available”. Wow, it seems like the apology didn’t do anything and from the look of things, there is no hope of mending things between the both of them.
